Message: What's the best "bang for the buck" Throttle Body for a 2000 cc 4.7 auto with a Leach PCM, high flow cat, Gibson muffler, 360air intake, electric fan only, 180 ts. I need to knock off a little time at the track. Currently running 9.602 in an 1/8 manual shifting it at about 6200rpm with a 4.10 gear.

Message: So what size would be best? I am guessing that a 70mm so I will still have bottom end and velocity. Is this a good idea with my mods or should I go bigger, and how much time do you think this will take off my current 9.60 1/8 mile times?

Message: You might help your times a little by shifting at 5500. 6200 is probably way over the RPM band.

Message: I am getting tired of Sam trying to sell his JUNK TBs on here.
Number one - you LOOSE horsepower with one. They have NEVER posted dynos of their TBs because they are a total waste.(Dyno numbers that have been posted ALSO added cold air and exhaust as well, they never just do the TB only!!!)
Number two - your idle will be VERY irractic.
Number three- you will probally get pedal vibration.
FACTS - the F&B TBs are JUNK!!!

Message: If you want me to shut up then POST DYNO numbers WITH THE THROTTLEBODY ONLY!!! That means NO EXHAUST and NO COLD AIR!!! That way we can see JUST WHAT THE TB DOES!!!!

Message: Well-- first off..you don't know how to spell.. and I have the BALLS to post my name, my address, everything... and second, the TB is a component that works inconjunction with other performance items. Period. Add a blower to a stock engine-- sure, it's a true power adder and will improve performance. But, add exhaust, headers, TB <-- yep, there's that word again... and it works MUCH better than on a stock setup.
The F&B 4.7L TB works best with other basic performance products (cold air, cat back, etc.) No different than anything else-- Adding a larger 70, but not making is easier to get the exhaust out (plus running on a non modded stock airbox) sorta defeats the purpose of the TB.
Pedal vibes are due to the intake manifold-- documented-- run a stock airhat tube to a K&N filter or airraid, or replace that with a Volant intake 'box' that has the correct air-ports on it to cancel out the sine wave that the intake creates-- a new intake manifold is being developed to correct this in the future (as this vibe will occur with a stock or reworked TB if the Z-tube or others are used-- but to a lesser extent).
Idle issues-- the PCM for the 4.7 is a slow learner at best-- plus issues with power steering pumps, etc.. affect how the idle circuit learns... Given a few hunderd miles of driving, most people have reported back that all is well-- idle is normal again.
On top of all of this-- we offer a 30 day return policy--- If you don't like it, or it doesn't work for you-- return it for a FULL REFUND.
There's no questions asked on that, and there's nothing to lose.
If you'd like, I'd gladly dyno a 4.7L for you-- you provide the truck, I'll provide the TB. If I had a 3.9L, a 5.2L, (I've got a 5.9L), a 4.7L, and a 4.0L, and a 8.0L (that's a Viper folks)-- Sure, I'd Dyno everyone of them (recently had to beg a coworker to use his 4.0L jeep to test out our new TB-- he got the tb, found that it ran better, especially above 3000 rpm, where the thing cruises with 4.10 gears-- no just gotta get him to let me borrow the jeep again to dyno the thing with a before and after).
All of the time, effort, and $$$ spent to provide quality products at a fair price (and btw-- we've lowered our prices on TBs-- we've found ways to lower our production costs, and that translates to lower prices for the public)-- no rip offs, no false claims... Items delivered in a timely manner. When they are 'in stock', they are 'in stock'.
Who ever Anon. is... I'd like to hear what you've done with your truck? What products have you helped to develop??? It's not easy.. believe me. You can contact me (anyone can) at

Message: Nope Alex, not me this time.
My argument was that the PCM, and now the HO cams, provide a far greater improvement than the bigger TBs do.
