Subject: thermostat question IP: Logged
Message: Just a quick question: I was looking on the internet at thermostats for my truck and I was looking for 180's, but I found a 160 degree thermo too. Would there be any drawbacks to getting the 160 over the 180, cuz it seems to me like cooler running = more power.

Message: The Check Engine Light is the MIL light. :0)
If you go too cold, the computer freaks out and goes into failsafe mode 'limp home'. You get a MIL, and it'll loose power considerably and get worse gas milage.
