Message:
I have a 02 R/T CC and I was wandering how hard it is to remove the cats and if it is worth it.Will it increase horse power? Also will it make my truck sound meaner? I have exhaust, air intake, and I want to put headers on it soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

you will actualy loose power if you remove them as the O2 sensors that are mounted just aft of them depend on the cats working right so they can then give the pcm the proper signals to make it run right. Unless of coure you know some one that can reprogam your pcm completely to make up for this.

KRC Performance sells a kat box that hooks up to your o2 sensors and sends a signal to your pcm telling it that everything is ok. With this in mind do you think I will gain performance and sound?
