Message: I don't think changing directions is too much of an issue, some mufflers make the exhaust go in an S shaped path, thus doing that twice.

I'd like to see you build one just like it for $50. Do it, and post some pictures...then i'll believe you. You're that guy that goes out and throws a Cherry-Bomb on the stock pipes and thinks it sounds good, aren't you?
R/Truck:
I wasn't too worried about the 180 degrees because the truck will never be an R/T anyways. I was just looking for something that sounded good, looked different, and flowed a bit better than stock.

Message: Here's a link to an R/T with a Spin Tech that's been dumped right in front of the axle.

This is pretty much what that "100lb. hobart weld-rod can and some s/s tubing" is going to sound like.
BTW- All Spin Techs look that ugly and sound that pretty.

Message: Thats kinda wild lookin'. What does it sound like? I might change out mine and do the same thing without the box. Huh.
3" single into duels straight out the side. With out the 3rd CAT in that should sound like a stock car, might do serious damage to anyones ears I pass. I like that Idea.

Message: alex: You hit the nail right on the head. They look like $hit, but they are built very well and they sound awesome.
yates-in-DE: Don't know what this particular setup will sound like yet, cause I haven't had the chance to throw it on. Listen to the soundclip that alex posted a link to, and it should sound similar.

Message: I've heard some MPEGs of them and they sound awesome, in my opinion. I had a hard time deciding between the MBRP and the Spintech. I bet that'll look really nice and low profile from the outside too.

Message: where could one purchase such an exhaust and about how much do they cost?
my truck cant have a normal tail pipe because of the coilovers and panhard bar, and i can have it go under the frame because its too low. I like that it goes over the frame. I had a shop build me one temp. that goes over the frame but it looks like sh!t.

Message: IntenseDak39:
Just go to http://www.spintechmufflers.com/ and they have the kit listed there for a Dakota R/T, but for the most part, it should work for any Dakota. I'm gonna have to play around with the intermediate pipe because the converter is placed differently on the 4x4's.

Message: Thanks for showing us the pics, I am convinced that setup will not flow as much as I had anticipated. The exhaust gasses will be forced to backtrack through to the front of the muffler after being brought to the back? Hmm I like spintech and they sound mean as hell but that design doesn't look like the most efficient!

The whole kit is numbered as SX45633. The web site really doesn't list a kit at all. You have to submit your email, then they send you a PDF file of their catalog with all the part numbers in it.
