Subject: Changing from a 3.55 to a 3.92 IP: Logged
Message: I'd like to change my rear end from stock 3.55 to a 3.92 and I'd like some info on the easyness, materials, and tools needed to complete such a task. Any info will be helpful, thank you for reading my post.

Message: About to do the same thing. Just bought a used set of 3.92 out of a wrecked Durango with 10,000 miles on it. Paid $60.
What else should I change at the same time?

Message: Changing rear gears is not for the faint of heart or the sometime mechanic. You have to have the right tools and know exactly what you're doing, or big trouble ensues. Unless you fit into this category, this is a job best left to an established pro.

Message: I agree, especially if you have an LSD.
You and me wish we would have ordered this
