Message: I read on a different Board that if you move the vacuum line from the TB to the M1 manifold, it will improve low end performance. Has anyone heard about/tried this?

Message: It helped on my friends '98 318 Ram when he had leaking intake gaskets on his M1 , On my '99 318 Dakota it caused it to hesitate . On mine it runs better with it coming off the throttle body and since I swapped the gaskets on the Ram it works better off the throttle body also.
Try it out , it only costs about $5 and if it helps it will be worth it. I guess it varies from truck to truck on how well it works.

Message: BTW- I'm running the 5007398 2 barrel intake on my Dakota , The Ram has the non-EGR version of the same intake.

Message: Bill your talking about the map sensor relocation. There are two vacuum lines on the front of the TB so make sure you do the right one. The Map sensor is the little black box on the front of the TB, under it is a small rubber elbow. Cap the one on the TB side and you will run the end connected to the map sensor to your M1. It does help.
