Subject: Sway bars IP: Logged
Message: Has anyone used the ADDCO front sway bar. The angles at the end of the bar is wrong and will bind up the end links. I am going to have to heat the ends of the bar and rotate them slightly so the bar will fit. Has anyone run in to this? You should not have to do this on a $200 bar. Truck performance where I bought it were no help.

Message: Post some pics, you may bend it the wrong
way and when you completely load or
completely unload the suspension (taking
jumps) The links are liable to snap off.
When i painted my sway bar, I ran without it for
a day so the spray would harden.
Needless to say, you can get in a serious
accident if you arent careful.

Message: I ended up not heating the bar but doing some grinding and drilling of the holes where the end links go through the bar. This gave me plenty or clearance and no binding.
Todd I'm not sure what you mean by doing the same to the back. I do have a hellwig 7/8" bar in back. This bar fit well although I did have to shorten the end links due to the 2" drop in back.
I am a firm believer in heavy sway bars although they need to be balanced front to rear.
