Subject: MSD Ignition question. IP: Logged
Message: I got a question. I'm getting ready to buy the MSD 6A ign. and was wondering which Tach Adapter to get and which way to hook it up? The diagram book shows 2 different ways to hook it up. It's either a Current Triggerd Tach or a Vo;tage Triggerd Tach. Anyone know which it is? Thanks.

Message: You really don't need the tach adaptor, I and several other guys are not using them. The worst thing that can happen is your check engine light may come on. And if it does it will go back off shortly after that.
Try it first without, you may be able to save some money without it.

Message: Accell has a wire harness that plugs into the coil wire so you don't have to cut any wires. I have a MSD 6a w/ a blaster 3 coil in mine and didn't have to cut or splice any factory wire.
