Ok heres a problem or not you guys tell me. I
own a 99 3.9 4x4 and its started this annoying
squeaking sound. When I start out and hit the
gas it makes a sound similar to if you were
going to jump up and down on an old bed (or
do other things). But the rate increases as the
truck speeds up. However, If i let off the gas
while stil going to same speed as while
accelerating the noise goes away. Like i said
it seems to be coming from the rear end and it
only does it when i go from nearly stopped or
stopped and only when im on the gas. Any
suggestions?
Thanks.
Josh

Shocks? Bad brakes? Leafs are out of whack? Loose bed? Loose wheels? Bad differential gears? Driveshaft loose? Emergency brake not completely letting go?

I would check all of these...

Sounds to me like you have a bad universal joint. I just replaced mine about a month ago in my 2k 4.7 4X4. Had the same symptoms as yours. Good luck.
