Subject: Cold Air Intake vs. K&N Drop in filter IP: Logged
Message: I have been reading all the posts regarding air intakes and I've noticed a few people are actually getting rid of their intake kits and changing to a K&N drop in filter. Can someone tell me why? I assume it is because of disappointing results with the air intakes. I need to know if I would be better off with a drop in filter or the complete intake. Please enlighten me.
Thanks Bill

Message: Depends on what you're looking for. If you want ANY performance at all go with the whole intake assembly by buying one or making your own.
The drop-in isn't gonna give you any performance at all. it's just gonna give you the convience of reusing.

Message: I have never in my life read any such posts and I read most of them. As far as I know everyone that has done a cold air intake has been quite happy.
