Subject: Play Money IP: Logged
Message: Tax returns are in! So new headers, TB, and TB spacer. I am going to buy all three at once and was wondering what companies make the best. Borla maybe, Flometircs for sure, and Poweraid probably. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Message: The headers should come from Mike Leach @ (714) 639-5220. The TB should come from Bruce @ Flometrics. http://www.flometrics.com/TBhomepage.html
Before you buy the spacer, what engine do you have? It may not fit.

Message: I have the 4.7L motor. Thank you for the numbers to call. Are these the numbers for the Borla headers? Have you heard anything good about the Poweraid TB spacer?

Message: That's the number for the Mopar headers. I have the Borla cat back exhaust system not Borla headers. You should check around to see what kind of prices you can get for the cat back. I can send you to one place but they're pricey. I have never found the TB Spacers to be any good, however, there are some on this forum that say otherwise so have at it. I don't know how they'll fit on the 4.7. On my 5.9, the TB spacer will not fit with the Flometrics billet TB and the K&N FIPK, not that it did any good anyway.

Message: ron- I see that you have the K&N FIPK on your truck. Is it the 14" that sits on top of the t-body? Thats the one I have and I was thinking of getting the filter that replaces the top mettle piece. do you have this and if so is it worth $50 thanks.

Message: No, I don't have the one that sits on top. That thing is okay as a reusable air filterm but that's about it. I don't remember reading what engine you have but if it's V8, you should opt for the K&N FIPK Gen II 57-1509. That'll give you about 8-10 hp minimum. That has a new, bigger, better airhat and a heat shield. Cost is ~$250.

Message: Kota on 20s, I have the 14" and am thinking about the extreme top but I don't think it would make much difference b/c the 14x3 already flows more air in cfm's than our TBs can really use, even with a mildly ported TB.
