Subject: What would you do? IP: Logged
Message: I have some questions on what the best setup would be. First off Im getting a 1998 Dakota Ex.Cab automatic with the 318 (5.2) 4wd. I want it to be very quick and strong, i dont want to drop it or anything like that. I was thinking about making my own intake, exuast, then puttin a Transgo shift kit, and maybe a chip to start with. But i just came across the Venom 4000 module that says up to a 25% horsepower increase. It changes the shift points also and it makes your truck run faster with better shifting accuracy and acceleration aspects. It runs $300. I was wondering if any has one and could tell a difference like that. If i got that i wouldnt have to buy the chip and shift kit from Transgo, just that with the intake and exuast would be better wouldnt it? Thanks for all the help

Message: That magic box shows no improvements on the dyno. I think your $300 would be better spent on a Mopar PCM, or put it towards an M1 intake.
