Subject: stalling dak please help IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1988 Dak with a 3.9 and a 5 speed. It seems when it gets up to normal running temp, it runs fine until I go to stop at a light, stop sign etc. when I push in on the clutch it wants to stall out. The only way to keep it running is to rev it up a little while coming to a stop. When it is cold it seems to run just fine, no stalling. Can anyone help me out with some ideas that might be causing this problem?
Thanks

Message: This is just a guess. Check the fuel filter. Sounds like it may be getting fuel starved. Again , this is a guess , but I hope you get it figured out. Good luck buddy.

Message: Get it on the highway, if it can go above 75 then your getting enough fuel. Does the 88 still have a carb? Check your choke, it may be to tight.

Message: I have repalced the fuel filter the O2 sensor and have ran two bottle of fuel injection cleaner through it. It is a throttle body FI on a 3.9. It only seems to stall at stops when it is ran for awhile and gets warmed up to a normal running temp. I cant figure it out and was hoping someone here could help me.

Message: Can an EGR Valve make it stall like that when it gets to up to temp and runs awhile? I had a Dodge Shadow that did the same thing and I had it fixed but its been so long ago I cant remember what they fixed on it.
