I wanted to know if pulleys would add any
significant horsepower. I have a 2001 QC 4.7.
Where is a good place to get the pulleys from?

You will get more HP. Be careful of the alternator one. It could cause problems.

Technically, you don't gain any horsepower at the engine level, but more rear wheel horsepower is freed up. The one major problem with pullies is that most sets won't charge the battery if the truck sits at idle. You'll definitly feel an increase in power through your "butt dyno". So to answer your question, yes, pullies will give you some horsepower, but just don't sit at idle too long.

I put underdrive pulleys on my old 92 mustang and I gained a consistant 1 mph increase at the end of the 1/4 mile.
Be careful on which ones you buy. Some are so underdriven that your battery will discharge a low rpm. Also when they come out for the 4.7 buy the ones that are aluminium. They are lighter and look better.

RWHP is based on Crank HP. If you increase it at the crank, you will gain some at the rear wheels as well.
