I dont know if anyone else out there got as frustrated as I did trying to find a decent air intake for my 2001 3.9V6, K&N dont make it, I tried several home brews and didnt have much luck.
Finally, I found something that works and fits great. AutoZone now carries Spectra air intake tubes and performance style filters for some import cars.
I tried one for a 2000 Honda Civic and it fits perfect and looks great. Just remove all the stock stuff and use the rubber sleave it comes with to connect it to the air hat. you have to stretch it a little but it works. I also used the metal band clamp from a 3 inch PVC coupling available at Lowes or Home depot to make it look better and give it more strength.
