Are there any aftermarket computer chips for the 01 R/T Dakota?
If there are then....
1.) which one is best ? Cost ?
2.) do they void warranty?
3.) What kind of performance increase is normally seen? HP increase ? Tq increase ?

You have 4 options:
Jet Chip - very minimal gains
ASE Chip - a little bit better
Kenne Bell optimizer - a little bit better
Custom Flash (B&G Chrysler) - the best option, however they have suspended the flashes for the moment
Non of them void warranty, however your dealer will give you a hard time and try.
$300-600
anywhere from no gain to 22-25 hp gain.
Do a search on the interenet, they all have websites. B&GChrysler.com, ASEchips.com, kennebell.net, don't bother with the jet chip

I have the Kenne Bell flash on my '01 R/T I think it kicks ass but R/Truck swears by the B&G but I thought it was kinda ridiculous to fork over $600 for a flash. But hey if you have the money then go for it (that is when B&G takes theirs off suspension)

Kenne Bell might be your best option available, at least we have some proof that it works, plus it is cheaper then the custom flash.
I don't like the idea of ASE chopping up your pcm to install a chip. Plus I have heard it only makes a mild improvement.

You did a dyno before and after the install of the flash? If your talking about the list they gave you of what they did thats not proof...Kenne Bell gave me almost the exact same list. If you did got it dynoed I'm curious to see the results.

Another guy did a dyno with the M-1 flash and he gained 22 rwhp and 26 rw ft lb's from it.

I have never done a dyno, will be doing one soon though. We got a deal from this local speedshop for $40, 3 pulls. If you live in the Houston area and want a cheap dyno, let me know. It is a place off of Highway 6, south of I-10.

No, not at all. He wanted to focus on his real business and I think he was getting nervous. Chrysler doesn't like there own technicians altering factory stuff.
No problems reported and there at least 4 dozen users out there. Some people have a slight ping but it goes away after the regular gas is all flushed out.

Why do you people think there is trouble with the flash? Is it because you missed out or couldn't afford it? hmmmmm hmmmmmm
I have had it for a couple of months now and the only trouble I'm having is bald tires, and upset opponents in my rear view mirror.
If there is doubt your welcome to examine my engine in person, I'm not hard to find.

I didn't say there was trouble just wonderin why U'd spend $600 for a flash when I only spent $350 for a Kenne Bell and I've already gone through a set of tires since I got it too. They may advance the timing a little bit more than Kenne Bell does but I still don't think its worth $250 more. Oh and I can afford it hell look at all the mods I have but I ended up saving money, still getting a good flash, and had extra money to spend on other performance stuff. ;)

I was talking to RTjohn.
He seems to think there is a problem with the flash and I just won't admit it. I think the Kenne Bell thing is the next best choice, no argument there.
