Subject: X-brace IP: Logged
Message: I read in a mopar mag where they put an x-brace connecting from one frame rail to the other. they said this helped body roll a lot. I was thinking of making my own x-brace (it dosent seem that hard). have any of you guy's heard of this, and if so does it work?

Message: I've heard extremly good things about KB's Xbrace. Being a former Brand X'er, I was totally into the race prepping of my suspension. you know, subframe braces (not really relevant, because Daks are full frame), Adj. control arms (again, not relevant), Traction bars (very helpful on V8 dakotas). The KB brace caught my attention, because I want to road race my 4.7 when it comes in and gets broken in. About building one yourself. I guess it's possible. I made subframe braces for my old car and they held up quite well. A word of caution. Don't weld them to the frame. Make it bolt on if at all possible. if you do weld them and break something in the trans, its a pain in the rear end to cut the brace back out and re-weld it when your reinstalling everything. Have fun with whatever you do. Sorry bout the long post.
