My Best one was 9.55 @73. That was before i got my nitrous or headers. Was funny cause there was a new mustang there runnin 9.8s and a new trans am runnin 9.6s. Needless to say they were hatin life gettin shown up by a truck. Not to mention a 4X4 truck at that. lol.

Wow! BigBird that's a good running Dakota , what kinda hp are you pushing 630-650 or so. Just asking because I've been helping one of my friends with a '73 Duster that runs 6.80's@103mph. Specs are - 2908# , 575hp 440 with Edelbrock heads , 11.8 comp , .680 solid , 1050 holley ,2" Pro-Parts headers,3" exhaust with straightline mufflers, 727 with 4,800 stall and manual VB , Dana 60 w/4.56's ,ladder bars and coilovers 31x18.5 M/T Sportsman Pros.I figure theres probably a 6.60 in it with open headers and on slicks.

Real Impressive for a truck that probably weighs 4100-4300#-congratulations.

MoparJoe and MikeD,
Haven't dyno'ed BigBird yet but think the HP will be 650+ or so. (probably more) Haven't ran it over the scales either but it's gotta be over 4600 since the stock CC is 4400. This has the hard cover and Ryno spray. It weighned in at 4550 at Topeka Nats last year. BigBird resides in the Houston area and likes to run at LoneStar Raceway Park in Sealy TX. Looking foreward to the Mopar Nats at Baytown this year. Last year it ran a 11.5 there and the officials got a little peeved and said "get roll cage, 5 point harness, etc..)

Know Alan Short... Kool dude... Did a hell of a burn-out at Topeka Meet. Took a fire extinguisher to "cool" him off.

Yeah he'z got a sweet set up...has the line lock which lets him do a burnout w/o lockin up the back brakes...wish I had that. I guess it was from Topeka he knew you from then...I just heard him talkin about you..assumed you lived in the area.
