Message: Justin,
I have a 2000 Durango with a 4.7. About a year ago I had a spintech sport truck muffler installed on it. I like the sound a lot.... it is loud, but a truck would not have as much interior noise because the bed is over the muffler. If you like it loud go for the sport truck...if not maybe the XL! I don't think they have as much resonance as some of the non delta flowmasters. The sport truck muffler is almost as long as the stock..I had it welded in place of the stock without adding pipe. I think that your truck has the mandrel bent stainless exhaust so a full catback is overkill...the 2.5" is plenty. Expect to maybe lose a little low end if you don't have any mods on the intake end, but the high rpm end is great....not to mention the growl!
Good luck!
p.s. I think you will have 3 cats....spintech also makes high flow cats....www.spintechmufflers.com

Message: I like the Borla. A little pricey, but a nice mellow tone that sounds great at all rpms. I also wanted to stick with the SS.
Just my $.02

Message: I bought a 18" glasspack from JC Whitney for about $20 and had it welded on in place of the stock muffler and using the stock (stainless!)pipes. It has zero backpressure, the "sleeper" look I like, and sounds very unique, very smooth. You can hear the engine "burble" when engine brakeing. I get a lot of positive comments, it's not ridiculously loud, and not another Flowmaster or Gibson.
