Message: I'm looking to install a new exhast system on my 2002 clubcab dakota. I need advice on the best kind to get. wheather it be a true dual exhast or a cat back. which will give me better torque gain and hp gain? i'd like to keep as much toque as possible without having to make up for it somewhere else in the engine if possible. any help is appreciated.

Message: All aftermarket mufflers do not really do much for the dakota, but I am very happy with my MBRP! Most people base their buy on the sound that appeals to them.
One of the biggest things you can do is get rid of that third cat. It gives you quite a bit of a gain and not to mention a much more aggressive tone. You can either get an aftermarket high flow cat which run about 100, or just get a pipe welded in there. If you're looking for the most gains however, MBRP is your answer and other people here can vouch for them too.
