Message: Has anyone had the ASE chip installed in their computer. Especially the 01 and 02 model 4.7 liter engines.
Will this modification void the factory warranty.
I am considering this company and any feedback is appreciated.

Message: I have done the research through out this site, and it seems the ASE chip is undetectable. other things I have read are: they remove your speed limiter, they can't be flashed over and I believe you are advised to run 92-93 octane.
I don't personally have one but it's possibly in the works

For $350, its a bargain! Especialy when compared to similar priced throttlebodies.

Message: Guys, adding these parts WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY. This is a load of B S, and it's unfortunate that most dealerships tell you so. All I have to say is US Title 15 Chapter 50. The ONLY WAY aftermarket parts can void the manufactuer warranty is if the specified part is the DIRECT RESULT OF SOME TYPE OF DAMAGE THAT WOULD NORMALLY BE COVERED UNDER YOUR WARRANTY. Don't let these dealer and mechanic morons tell you otherwise. Heck, most of them don't even know about this law. It's been passed and uphelp thousands of times, again and again. If anyone wants the information about this, please e-mail me. I'll provide you with the information.

Message: i am going to send my 2001 durango 4.7's computer in to ASE and get the chip done....unfortunetly it requires 91+ oct gas and belive it or not most gas stations here run out of 91+ and some times i would have to settle for 89, i dont know if this would kill my engine

Message: I just left ASE an e-mail yesterday asking for some info on the chip, when I called about 6 months ago they said the top speed limiter was raised to 138, not removed and that it requires premium fuel.
they also said it was guarenteed 25 horsepower.
but I dont know what would happen if you want to send it back, as they change a chip inside the computer, rather then flashing it.
that one of the questions I'm waiting for a reply on.

Message: ASE is the MOST detectable flash because they cut open your PCM and solder in a new chip.
