Will installing this cause a low-end torque loss due to having virtually no backpressure?

Nope. It only "simulates" the rear O2 sensor if you either remove the cat or replace it with a High-Flow (and the check engine light comes on).

Removing the cat may cause the low bottom-end TQ...but not an electronic box.
