last night i went to the friday night test and tune and was i ever suprised? i live in Lincoln Nebraska 80 miles away from the track in town called Scribner well the night started out hot humid 90+ but after i finally talked my 8 year old daughter (she loves racing as long as she has her ear plugs lol) we got there about 8 and the very first thang i so was a 70 challeger stock so we drove around looked at the cars seen sevral mopars just as many as chevys are almost they had a jet car make 3 run but after the first one we stayed way back from track the were having lots of prbs flames coming out side and under it looked unsafe during one of the jet car runs we noticed this nice late 90s ram with cool paint and trailer to match since we seen so many mopars i could not wait to see what he had so we walk over just as he was bringing out a gen|| rc dak with same paint but the was somthing more to it it had this 2 foot high scoop they were real busy grabing tools jacks but i did get a few quick ? in and my first one was a winner (lol)here it is do you have a stock moter in there he started laghing i thinking he was going to fall down so armed with what little info i have but still learning from here (god help me)ws it a 408 stroker he then said close but he took it out and now its in the trailer puller now he new i was just a normal guy not some racer out to get his secret he said somthing like a 360 stage 2 or somthing anyways it had a tunnle ram with 2 predtor are looked like that when he fired it up which took fem mins it ran real ruff like it was idling at 1200 but was too low but let me tell you when he punched it it snapped me and the kid out of the coma we were in his first run was real bad sounding but when i looked at the time it was 9.98 at 138 and it got better next was 9.35 at 136 still dont know why his was so much better but slower forgot to add that it was tubbed and it looked like 18 inch wide are wider all 60 foots where like 1.6 sec are lower think that is good but iv never raced before he finly ended with 9.5s sorry for the book but when you get the bug and iv got it you just got to tell around here its all about sprintcars and im srry to say im sick of the 1/2 mile circle later

gen II dak with a 408 stoker modded that ran 9s, that what i got out of it, with i could put a 408 stroker in mine, oh man my freind is ALWAYS giving me crap about having a slow dak, and that his neon could waste me, oh man i would have fun with him

Come on, I was about ready to post a reply, just like runonsentence, until I read his. Made me laugh. I understand that it can be easy, sometimes, to write as you speak, but holy moly if you speak like the original post, you're in a world of hurt.
I gotta get some aspirin after reading the post.

That's pretty damn hilarious. I just noticed all the new punctuation. That's also pretyt funny how the 408 ended up in his tow vehicle and the Dakota got the rip-snortin' small block with a tunnel ram and dual quads. Sounds like a reace-only screamer.

maybe he had some racing cams in it, sounded like an old tractor right? i have heard an old camero with 700+ hp that sounded like an old tractor cuz of the cams in it, or so thats what i was told made that sound

Whatever the punctuation problem, great story. I love listening to motors thumping away at 1000+ rpm at idle; then hearing them hammer at the 7000 rpm mark. Quite the adrenaline rush!
