Anyone know of a better coil than stock? What about MSD Blaster SS? Or MSD Blaster Replacement Single Connector Coil For Late Model Dodge With 2-Pin Connector. I asked pretty much the same question a month or so back,got about the same response.MSD coil PT.#8228,is that the one you're are looking at?,if it is it's cheaper cost than ACCEL.From reading the various posts re:coils the only consistant improvement seems to be smoother idle and acceleration.

I have been trying to get the #8228 MSD coil for about month now, and have been told it is on nationwide backorder until around September.

I've had a small order of them on backorder since February. I've talked with MSD several times and don't know what the problem is...at last years SEMA show, they stated that they would be released in 90 days...that was over 7 months ago.

If you get the Accel 300+ ignition system, you'll get the super coil. Just food for thought.
