Subject: Bernd...want to buy tb IP: Logged
Message: Hey Bernd,
I am wanting to purchase a tb and need to know if you have them in stock. I also need your recommendation on which size I should use. I have been told that the 50mm would work best for application for low-end torque, but it may not flow enough later for my future mods, so some recommend the 52mm. Is this correct? My main focus is low-end without giving up any mid or top, if possible. Also, do you recommend Fastman or Flometrics? I have read that the Flometrics modifies areas that are not possible with the factory castings like the Fastman. Is this true, or sells pitch? Thanks for your help, and how long will shipping take if you have tb in stock?
P.S. Will I lose bottom-end with my setup if I
remove the cat and use the 02 SIMM?

Message: I e-mailed him with the same question and we have very similar mods. I have a 97 5.2L 4X4 CC and my mods are:
MSD 6AL ignition,SS Blaster coil, and 8.5mm wires
Autolite 3923 spark plugs
180 t-stat
Underdrive pulleys
Crower 1.7 RR's
High flow cat (awaiting install)
Gibson swept side single Cat-back (in the mail)
M-1 intake (ordering on the 15th)
Throttle body (ordering in 4-6 weeks)
Electric fan (by the end of summer)
MOPAR PCM (soon depending on octane of gas here
in Italy)
He told me the 50mm was the one that I would want.

Message: Yup...stick with the 50mm for low-end TQ. It's a 4x4 and does require a little more low-end "grunt" than a 2WD (more weight to move and more driveline to turn).
