Is there any Flashes less restrictive than the Kenne Bell Optimizer II. It is limited to 135 mph.

You mean you actually want to go faster than 135 on street tires? I sincerely doubt if you ran quarter mile times that you would ever spproach 135 MPH (only beacuse it's a truck, not the engine/transmissions fault).

Lynn, i dont think you can get these for the 02's, but i had mine done by Leach Performance in CA, and my speed limiter is set at 254mph and rev limit is set at 8160 RPM. Take care.

I'm not sure about the 4.7L, but the driveshafts on the 5.9L have had bad problems about blowing out seals (driveshafts seals) at speeds over 125. So be careful you have more to worry about then your tires at those speeds. Transmission, Rear end, drivetrain, etc. were not designed for high speeds, after all its a truck.

I think CThomps right, it seems ASEchips covers the 4.7L for all years.

after looking at the ASE website, i am kinda intrigued and puzzled. if they put an actual extra chip within the existing PCM, isnt this like a glorified Jet Chip? being that they dont do any re-programming of the PCM itself, what exactly does that chip do? it just seems they alter the signals coming out of the PCM, but the PCM is still working and putting out the same calculations it was before...i dunno, maybe it does more than a Jet, but just slapping something else in there doesnt seem to be as beneficial as re-programming and narrowing the values used in calabrating all of the mixtures and ratios and whatever...also, would there be any chance that a dealership could re-flash the PCM on the sly and ruin the ASE add-on? plus, it doesnt come off. at least with the 50% success rate of the Jet, you can take it off if needed...

granted, this is one of very few alternatives for 2k1+ 4.7's, just dont wanna take a chance on something without knowing a bit more. and again, i'm just thinking out loud, maybe someone has better info than i :) (hint, hint)

Also notice there are no dyno results, their performance gains are based on computer simulations. I would find someone that has the chip to find out some better results.
