Message: Was woundering if anyone knows if the mopar performance lifters #P5249862 are the same height as the factory lifters ,and how are they differnt from the factory lifters ,do they use the same pushrod size. The engine is a '97 5.2 .After installing a set of roller rockers and adjusting them I found that I had a lifter with a bad check valve,it was bleeding down and not opening the valve all the way.The lifter did not make any noise so I don't know how long it has been bad . Anyhow one mod became serveral mods ,mopar performance lifters , ported intake manifold , FMS injectors.

Message: I would be willing to bet they are the factory liftors just sold by Mopar Performance. If they are different they will usualy say so. They don't in this case.

Message: the stock and MP lifters are very differently priced... 110/set or so for MP, and almost 300 for plain factory roller lifters... if they are the same price, get them thru the MP number and save 2 bills!

Message: Same pushrods. I haven't seen an literature on the differences on OEM vs MP lifters. The MP's may be a bit better in assembly tolerances, but that'd be it.

Message: I bought Mopar performance lifters for my 360. When I removed the old ones, I could see no difference whatsoever between the stock and the new pieces - they were identical right down to the dab of yellow paint on the end (right side up, lol)
However, I have heard from guys who are pretty knowledgeable, that there may be internal differences. Whether that's true or not, I don't know.
On the left, the stock piece, on the right, the mopar performance piece.
