about 6000 miles ago, i replaced the distributor cap, rotor, and wires on my v6 Dakota - with a cap and rotor that didnt have brass contacts (silly me)....
well, after reading all the good info on this site, i recently bought and installed a NAPA cap and rotor with brass contacts - i couldnt believe how much corrosion had occurred on the contacts in just 6000 miles of normal use driving - and it really "woke" the truck up - again....
didnt think it would make a difference, but it did.... does brass not corrode as much?
