Message: What have people done to force air directly into the stock air-filter box? It looks as though the turned elbow on the front of the stock air-filter box only sucks in air from inside the fender but the fender doesn't seem to have a real good direct flow of air. The viable option seems to be be removing the rubber flap on the left side of the radiator and running some sort of pipe/hosing from the bottom of the air-filter box directly to where the rubber flap would have been. That doesn't seem to logical though since that pipe/housing would be restrictive due to A/c lines and such.
I am not interested in getting an aftermarket intake kit or doing a complete homebrew so answers to the above question will be much appreciated. Thanks
