No, I used to have a flowmaster and the only problem I had with the dealer is they made me cut the flowmaster off to have a new catalitic convertor installed. Then I had to have it installed by another muffler shop afterwards. Kind of a pain in the ass but they didn't void anything.

I would be reconsider putting in a new muffler system in your dakota. I feel I made a mistake putting one in my new 2002 QC, if you do your research you'll notice that they don't increase performance and will take away power down low where the 4.7L atleast, need it most. I did the flowmaster catback with 3in and sure it sounds good, but I'm going back to 2.5in pipes because I have lost torque and I tow alot, hence the need for low end power. This is how I feel, but most everyone reputable will agree that as far as performance goes, a muffler system is last on the list.

I disagree with the cat back taking away low end, I have the flowmaster cat back 3" on my 01 4x4 4.7 and haven't noticed any loss to the low end. The 4.7 being that it has the 2 precats and the 3rd cat provides plenty of backpressure so no matter what muffler you replace the stock one with your still going to have the same low end performance. I'm planning on replacing the 50 series muffler with a 40 series soon because the 50 series is too quiet. Replacing the stock exhaust system is one of the easiest things you can do to help your performance

3rd back is more than backpressure, you will do quite a bit better without it actually. I felt like I actually gained back a lil bit down low, much easier to chirp my tyres and I can rev higher and faster -- can't forget to mention the sound is insanely better.

I kinda felt like I lost a bit down low, but gained more in the middle when I put on my MBRP, but I don't really know for sure. All I got is my lazy @$$ dyno
