Subject: Belt Slipping S/C IP: Logged
Message: I was under the hood looking at the way the powerdynes are mounted. I know it's a really thick plate attatched to the engine, but, I can flex it without really leaning on it.
Possibly it needs a stiffening strut?
Can it be that it's flexing under load?

Message: It does flex and some have tried to stiffen up the bracket. That does help but is not the real cause of the belt slippage. You'll need an auxillary belt pulley to get more belt coverage on the blower pulley. We carry them (SpeedTweaks) as well as a few other small vendors we work with. The one from Powerdyne helps but doesn't allow for adjustment.
