I want to buy an intake for my 2000 V6 w cruise but I hear that the cruise cables cause problems with the installation. Intense Performance says their's will fit. Anyone have any experience w Intense? Has K&N come out w one that will fit a 2000? Any preferences?

I would also check QuickD. I put the Z-Tube on my 4.7 and had to move the cruise out of the way. The bracket that they provide could have been designed better to make that job easier (one of the bolts is almost impossible to reach after you put the bracket in). Took longer to install than I would have liked, but in the end it went together fine -- and I can't argue with the results!
I think the QuickD or Intenseperformance stage II would go in without moving the cruise. I think that with the 3.9, though, I'd go with the K&N GenII system. Someone else will have to say how that fits in.

I have the AIRAID intake on my 2000 CC V6
Installed in about 15 min. the cruise control cable does touch the filter but has caused no damage been on for 6 months
