Subject: t-stat installed IP: Logged
Message: i got my 180 robertshaw t-stat installed today on my 2002 4.7 cc. it was a little easier than i thought. only 2 8mm bolts then it came out i used the old rubber ring and i notched the new t-stat with a hand file and de-burred. i tried to start the top bolt first then after 5 minutes it was a no go, so i put in the bottom one first then the top one went right in. i had to do most of the work under the truck (4x2). i heard someone say they didn't even have to get under the truck to do it, i don't see how you can. anyway filled it back up with coolant let idle in driveway till warmed up, then took on a five mile trip came home and eveything was fine. took about 30 minutes start to finish. then 15 minutes to find a funnel then i put the coolant in. sorry for the long post but i have to vent some pent up aggresion. thanks for listening.

Message: Good job. Just make sure all the air has gotten out of the system. Just check it cold after a couple of drives.
