Doing good man ! How bout yourself!!
Yea, I can never resist new stuff either, CW is a bad influence!! ha haa!! Its hard to find HP part for the 100-200 dollar range, everything is like 300 on up. I just got an intake and 2 cams for less the $300, can't say that to often ?
The intake should be a VERY easy bolt on
Hey CW, are you using your old o-rings for the intake, or did you get new o-rings???
I noticed your pictures had o-rings already on there ? The dealer wanted $12 each for the suckers!! thats like $100, I will attempt to re-use my seals !!

Message: Doin great Matt, good to see ya on the boards again.
This mod looks like a good match with the 70mm TB, still thinking hard about the cams, guess I'm conservative cause I'm 4X4. Prolly do them anyway.
And yes, CW is a bad influence but he's in good company around this board.
Best, (off to the cantina)

Message: HO INTAKE INSTALLED!!!!!:)
Only took 2 hours with a trip to the auto parts store to get 1/2 line. The HO intake has a different PCV size hose. Did it in my driveway with the guy next door over my shoulder the whole job.
I got it for $151 Cnd because of staff dicount.
Matt: the intake comes with all the orings new.
John C: That is the part number of the intake I put on.
I had a small problem when I went to put on my home made Z-tube. The flexible heating duct had started to separate so I had to put my modified stock system back on.
Anyways I took it for a run and you might as well throw the red line out the window. I can rev it to 5500+ and it doesn't seem to drop in power. The computer hasn't had time to adjust yet. I think the 70mm or 72mm TB would be a good addition to this intake.
Tell you all a secret I am going to wait and see what kind of TB comes on the 5.7 hemi. If it has the same bolt pattern and is a bigger diameter. Think I will home port it and put it on. I am out of money in any case and no more mods that cost much money for a while.

I think that sounds like the hot-ticket for me.
As far as the TB for the 5.7 - I've seen pictures of the intake for the 5.7 and the TB is mounted with 4 bolts instead of 3. It also looks like it's quite a bit larger also.

I have been thinking ICON controller for extra advance and I can take it out in the winter. Just a thought for now though.

CW- how does it perform in the lower rpms? Is this more of a low rpm mod or a high revving mod? Sorry, don't know as much about intake manifold as I would like.
Thanks.

Message: All the port sizes are the same. If I had to hazard a guess I would say that runner length may be different as well as penum volume.
I didn't seem to notice any loss in low end at all. But as I have said before the computer has yet to adjust to it. I have only taken it for one drive. The upper RPM of the engine feels nore free to rev. I did however put the stock air hat back on at the same time though because my home made intake was toast. Doubt that made it rev better though.
D: You get to keep the TB sapcer becaust the outside dementions are the same. The line that runs from the oil fill cap to the back of the intake has a 3/8" line on the end of it and is to small for the HO intake. I took a piece of 1/2" line and used a clamp to go from the 3/8" hard line to the 1/2" intake size worked well.
Installation of the intake is pretty much a breeze for anyone with a little mechanical aptitude. I had to take off the coils, fuel injector rails, alternator and A/C compressor. Once I did that it was just a drop in.
Part # is 53031739AD

Message: You don't need to do either. Once you pull the A/C compressor and alternator out of the way, there is alot of movment in the lines and you can scoot the manifold out from underneath them. Leave the plugs in place just pull the coils.
