Subject: 2 1/2 or 3 inch catback? IP: Logged
Message: I just got an '02 QC in april. Would like to do a catback on it to make it sound more aggressive. I definetly want to do a single in/ single out. Should i go with 2 1/2 or 3 inch catback? The exhaust would be the only mod for now,and i'm not looking to make it a race truck. Just sound like one.Any help would be appreciated. '02 QC, 4.7, 3.92, 4x4

Message: 3" from the catback will leave you more options if you decided to upgrade things later on. There is no reason to get a complete 2 1/2 catback you might as well just change out the muffler in that case and save yourself some money. You can get a quality high performance muffler installed for under $100.
Don't expect a big HP gain, it is mostly done to achieve an agressive sound and let your engine breath better for future improvements.
