Message: You might want to make sure it will clear the gas tank and driveshaft. Good luck.

Message: pretty much any car without any mufflers or cat is waaaaay to loud for the street, let alone a v-8! Sometimes turbo cars witout mufflers are not horribly loud but you can't even idle a v-8 w/o mufflers and cats with out the neighbors calling the police! I've driven an older small block Plymouth down to the muffler shop with open headers once, I like a good rumble like everybody else but that was embarrasing.

Message: A dumped exhaust is for the drag strip only, not the street or daily driving. When you are at the track there will be plenty of open header cars (although not all tracks allow this anymore). If you tried to dump your exhaust in a street race I think it would be a huge beacon for the cops to zoom in on. It's hard to fly under the radar when your truck is louder then a stealth fighter!

Message: No kidding, do you REALLY want to be that noticable (obnoxious, whatever you prefer)??
I'm hoping when I replace my 3rd cat it will bring me to the loudness I want. The MBRP with the cats is just too quiet. If you want real loud, MBRP is not it, but such a nice tone! It really is a good clean sound, but kind of like a kittens purr; deep, but not loud.
BTW, domestic cats purr around mid 20s - mid 40s Hz.
