Subject: clutch fan affecting shifts
IP: Logged

Message:
Has anyone had the problem of removing the clutch fan, and affecting the shifting of the transmission? I removed my fan yesterday, and now the truck will not shift from 1st-2nd (auto). It hits the rev limiter. Is this due to the engine revving faster, or what? Will a tv cable adjustment fix it?

Ok, the clutch fan removal should -not- effect the shifting at all. More than likely you leaned on, or set something on, the TV cable and it pulled out of alignment. Probally should be able to adjust it back out.
