Message: Oh No! The dreaded parts store "engineer" syndrome!
For the longest time, practically every vehicle that left the production line did so with a 180-degree t-stat. Then, the dread emissions nazis descended upon the motor city, forcing 195 t-stats on the consumer, and rounding up all those who refused to conform to their tree-hugging philosophy, and banishing them to the gulag, and....
Don't listen to him. A 180 t-stat will not harm your engine. It will actually HELP it. Ever see a piston crown that's had to deal with detonation for 100,000 miles?
As for the warranty, well, the reason they went with a 195 t-stat in the first place is to guarantee emissions compliance, with minimal "tweaking' on their part. That’s all.
Short of physically taking it out, there is no way they can tell (if you stick to a 180, going down to a 160 is a different matter).

Message: I run the Stant Superstat#65358 which is 180 degree. in both my Daks, with the 4.7 and The motor responds well, and runs way better, this also rid the drastic pinging at heavy accelerations. This will not harm your motor. The # above will fit the v-6 and all v-8 from dodge.

No..it will NOT cause what he claims.
(Even Mopar found that the Magnum Engines make their best power at 185 degrees.)
