Guys,
I'm looking to sell my Dakota,so here is a chance for you to buy a real sweet truck for a paltry sum of $12,500.The reason I'm selling is that I have a company vehicle now and my Dakota just sits in the driveway all week long.The truck is in near perfect shape and I figured I'd sell it now while it is still valueable instead of 1 or 2 years from now.
It is a 1997 SLT Club Cab 5.2L. Black with almost every option.I am the original owner and still have the original window sticker with my name on it.The interior is near perfact.I put seat covers and a dash pad and full coverage molded floor mats on it when new so everything still looks new.No kids have ever ridden in it so there are no drool stains.I have only eaten in it about 5 times so there are only a few sesame seeds between the seats :) but no ketchup stains!
This puppy runs real strong and better than new.It has 60k miles and Mobil 1 every 3k miles.The truck has never been wrecked, raced, doored, or used as a work truck.

Holley billet 52mm throttle body.have original.
Intense Performanse stage III cold air intake w/9" bigmouth filter.
Crower forged SS 1.7 ratio roller rockers.
Edelbrock SS TES headers,Flowmaster cat-back,duals out the back.
Random Technoligies super hi-flo catalytic converter.
Rear O2 replaced w/O2 SIMM.
IAT adjuster.
MSD 6 box,MSD blaster coil and MSD wires.
FMS 19# flow matched injectors.Have originals.
Started heat shield
A/C lines wrapped w/ heat shield.
spark plug boots have heat shield.
180 deg. thermostat w/Havoline 5 year coolant w/Redline Water Wetter additive.
ARP fiberglass ram-air hood.Will throw in original in perfect condition.

P.S. Last Dyno showed 216 rear wheel horsepower @4,200 rpm, and a whopping 286 ft.lbs. rear wheel torque @ 3,200 rpm.(super flat torque curve)

I knew I'd forget something!!!
The A/C Evap. core was just replaced under warranty about 2 weeks ago. And the front upper and lower control arms and bushings and ball joints were replaced under warranty about a month ago.The front end parts were replaced because I found that a couple of the ball joints has ripped rubber boots.The new ones are silicone.The front brake rotors are about 6 months old, and the pads are the "titanium" type.

If I were you, I would take all the upgrades off and sell them separately. You'll never get back what you paid for them otherwise. You can get a decent price for parts on ebay.

But yes,the ring and pinion is out of a 1997 year model 8.25 and it is a 3.92 ratio.

I know it's hard to believe,but it's true! We do have an 1/8 mile dragstrip here locally, but I've never gotten around to going there and getting some slips.I've never even street raced in this truck! I have to drive a company vehicle for my job, and my company checks driver's records every six months.If I get a moving violation of any kind, not to mention a drag racing violation, I lose my job! regardless of which vehicle I was in.
Basically I just mod my vehicle just for the fun of spinning wrenches and doing some "dyno racing" on occasion.I do enjoy the whole seat-of-the-pants feeling when I do occasionally put my foot down out on the open road.
BTW, I'm 41 years old, I got all that street racing sh!t out of my system a long time ago.Too much to lose now.

Lesley, Go for it! Like I mentioned I just got too much to lose! I have the easiest job in the world, basically I sit on my butt and get paid a ton of money! I'm not sure if it would work or not in your truck, but I have a complete 8.25 rearend with the 3.90's and sure-grip unit...all for the low sum of $600. The rearend has roughly 3,500 miles on it, but it's out of a '96 Gen II. If your interested it's in the classified ads on this site with all the other information.
