just the other day, a buddy of mine and i decided to run down the quarter mile that some guys laid out in the country(close enough)the thing is that he owns 01' Lightning and myself 00' RT RC...i knew i was going to be beat, it was just for fun..to my suprise, it was closer than i thought..we both started roughly at the same time(spinning our wheels)neither of us pulled away from one another until midpoint then he pulled ahead...when we crossed he was only truck and half ahead of me....i was thinking more like ten..LOL..all i got is headers and catback, 180 thermo, and a mopar pcm...thats it..OH..and some BALD tires...after that race i have ton alot more respect for this truck...she holds her own..just my 2 cents..

Saw a '01 Lightning at the track last sunday that run some wildly inconsistant times,14.7 , 16.9 hehehe brokem loose 2 times ,13.8 . His 60' times were 2.3 ,3.X , 2.2 .I talked with him and he had a bunch of mods and had run at the track before.

last time i went to the track a lighting ran constant 2 13.7's and a 13.8! there fast if your r/t only lost by a truck & 1/2 then you run proably run low 14's!!!!
