Subject: IDLE IS ROUGH IP: Logged
Message: I have a 99 5.9 and there doesnt seem to be a problem but maybe one starting. The truck runs great but when your idling it starts vibrating and jurking the car around. Olmost feels as if it was missing. But you can only feel it in the car. It sounds ok and looks ok. I changed the sparkplugs and it still does it. It also even moves the tach up and down about 100 rpm every time it does that. I thought maybe it needs sparkplugs wires or a fuel system clean. Enyone else have any ideas or experience with this.
THanks.

Being a '99...I wouldn't doubt that the IAC plunger is dirty causing the rough idle. It's easy to clean and requires little effort to remove.
