Message: I've been researching the Powerdyne SC, to include searching the archives here, and have run across several posts stating that Powerdyne has a new gear driven model but they don't have one listed on thier website? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Message: Contact Powerdyne. Last time I spoke with them (SEMA)...they were still in the testing phases of the new "X" Series blower. Yes, it's a gear driven blower with an external oiling system (just like the Vortech system). It allows for much higher boost levels but isn't really recommended for the average street vehicle. With the 5.9L, anything above 8# boost, invest in a quality set of head gaskets and head bolts (or studs). The 5.9L is known for blowing head gaskets when under boost...head design primarily.

Message: Just spoke with Powerdyne. They said the gear drive model is available now, but you have to tap the oil pan. That puts it out of the running for me. They also said that they recommend 24# injectors for the 5.9Ls with SCs, and that the 5.9L R/T has 24# injectors from the factory - is that correct?
World Wide Performance recommended either the Paxton NOVI 2000 kit ($4250) or the Powerdyne BD11 ($3100). The NOVI is gear driven and internally oiled, which is good, but runs over a thousand dollars more. Since I will never exceed 6# of boost for fear of engine damage (I still want my engine to last at least 150,000 miles), the Powerdyne with internal belt drive should be fine.

Message: Why buy an Imitation "Powerdyne" just buy the real thing (Vortech/Paxton). How many more times can I tell you guys Powerdyne blows, sorry GenIII.
Spend the extra money and get a Vortech Paxton or Kenny Bell...

Message: By the way! If talk to Sam at Powerdyne, tell him pay back is a B!tch. It SHOULD be in their best interest to take care of customers and not leave them in the cold. Even the techs that work at Powerdyne have nothing great to say about them.
I say again... POWERDYNE SUCKS!!!!!!!!
