 Subject: Install muffler

If I were to install my own exhaust system, how hard would it be? Do the new pipes have to be bent a certain way or does that matter at all. Or can I connect the pipes any which way to exit them out the back. I hope that is clear enough.

I will weld it but my question is do the pipes need to be a certain length or is there a certain path the pipes should run to exit out the rear?

I have mine split to duals after the muffler and exit out the rear. The only place that each pipe is bent is over the axle. But I don't think that there is a specific length that you have to go past the muffler. If you wanted to, you could dump the thing and that would be real LOUD.
I hope that helps a little.

if you are going to do the whole thing yourself, put in one of them valve deals so when your out ont he open road or anywhere cops arent you switch it and it goes tright out after the Y

I recenlty purchased a universal performace muffler but i dont want to change the pipes or any but the muffler. can that be done and will it have to be installed professional? maybe weld?
