Anybody know what year o2 sensor has a single wire hookup. i need a sensor for my a/f gauge and wondered what year/ vechile to ask for? Summit has a universal one for $30 but it will not be in until Mid May. cant wait. anybody able to help out? I would like to spend around $30-40 on one max. let me know. Chris

you should be able to tap into the o2 sensor you have as long as you know the signal wire.

i currently have the a/f gauge tapped into the signal wire from the pcm. Bernd said that the pcm's signal is backwards(so if it shows lean it is actually rich) and also it is not acurate. i was told to use a separate single wire o2 sensor just for the a/f gauge. i just need to know what vehicle uses a single wire o2 sensor. Chris

i'm pretty sure chev trucks 88 to 93 have single wire o2 sensors, the ones with 2 or more wires are heated electronicaly to lean out the fuel mixture sooner for better fuel mileage. hope this helps.

My '89 Camaro RS used a single wire O2 sensor. The engine was a 2.8 liter Multi-Port Fuel injection V-6
