Message: you may get away with 6-800.00. doing it yourself Very difficult if you do not know how to set up the gears, I would pay someone who does this for a living. if you do it, go to 4;10. not much of a difference between 3;55 and 3;92.

Message: Some of the best prices I've seen for ring & pinion sets are at http:///www.drivetrainwarehouse.com.
As for installation, I would recommend you go to a shop, as it isn't an easy task to get the correct spacing set with the new gears.
My two cents would be to hit the Internet for the cheapest price you can possibly find, and then hit up a shop like 4-Wheel Parts (http://www.4wheelparts.com) for the installation. They offer reasonable labor, and will match any price you can find for the parts.
