Subject: Exhaust Change IP: Logged
Message: I'm thinkin about gettin a custom set up on my exhaust right after the driver's side header I'm gonna get a pipe put in (instead of the 90 degree bend across to the passenger side) and have it pass straight past the tranny and underneath the chassi brace then gradually fork it over the the passenger side right before the muffler. But the pipe would be running right by the fuel line which might cause vapor lock because of the hot exhaust off the precat. Should I do this and wrap the fuel line in high heat metallic tape or should I just leave it alone? I'd get Y-pipe but they don't make Y-pipe for precat vehicles.
Will I notice much of a difference opening it up like this?

Message: I could do that it kinda sticks out there a ways. Don't see why they couldn't have put it up against the chassi. But I might have to bend the line to move it is that worth the risk of kinking it or breaking it?
