Q I had a friend tell me that if you are going to go S.C you should do so from close to day one in the engines life. Any truth to this guys.

Unless you've really beat up the engine before hand...no, that's not true. (With the exception of high mileage engines...putting a S/C on a 80K plus mile engine is going to have problems much quicker than with 10, 20, or 30K.)

Well, Project "ATI Supercharged R/T" is in the body shop, and we're getting ready to install the M1-MPI and a few other "enhancements" to my co-workers R/T as well.
The IAT Adjuster has had excellent results on all the test vehicles and is getting ready for an offsite company to build them for me.
Other than that...nothing new...for now. ;)

i have a 318 with 80,000 on it. i would like to slap on a supercharger. i've used amsoil or mobil 1 since 10,000 mi, so i think internally, it's in fair condition.
my question is, should i put a s/c on now and use it till she dies, or save up more money and rebuild the engine first.
this is a daily driver.does a supercarger kill my milage even if i go easy on it? (to and from work 80 mi.)
thanks for your advice
i'm thinking kenne belle---any negativecomments?

wendy's... while the McDonalds value menu ($1.00) is of great value, the Wendy's menu ($.99) you can save $.01 for each item... plus they have a broader menu including chili and baked potatoes.

I agree. Wendy's food is also substantially better quality. I think I will take your advice. On a side note... I saw a red Ram 1500 ont he way to work this morning with a set of big red balls (not the bouncing kind, the family jewels kind) hanging from the tow hitch!!! I thought that was pretty damn cool. Anyone ever seen these or know where to buy?

Joel--- Take your truck to a shop and have a leakdown test done on it before you get a s/c. It won't kill your mileage if you go easy on it, but once you feel the boost, it will be tough to go easy on it. Negative points about KB >> Hard to tune if you do other mods, and their tech support is not the greatest.
Taco Bell will stretch your fast food dollar. You can get the old fashioned taco, burrito or tostada for well under 99 cents.
2000 4.7 CC auto, clear corners, Magnaflow catback, Kenne Bell s/c, Aquamist water injection.

Trade that rustang in on anything with a V8. Use the $4K for the SC for a down payment when you trade. Get a COBRA

Man, i had v8,5.0 94 mustang, it was the best thing. it took so much gas, and i ran into problem with law and crap. it had so much graphics and lot of engine work. i had to sell it. i want to put something simple on my new v6.......just for sound and little power. i dont want to spend any money on it. thanks though

Stick a Power Shot to it. It will only be there when you need it most, unlike the S/C that you will feel everytime you step on the gas. The S/C is too tempting. It's sounds like you don't need anything that might tempt you.
