Subject: Too Late For Synthetic?? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 95 318 Dakota. I am about to turn 70,000 miles and have been using conventional motor oil. Would it be detrimental to my vehicle to switch over to Mobil 1 10w30 full Synthetic now??? Or should i stay conventional?? I change the oil every 2500 miles now. Thanks for advice.

Message: Hey man if your willing to spend the extra $$ for synthetic oil IMO use it! Your engine is as "broke in" as it ever will be--synthetic oil will just give it that much more protection! We use Mobil 1 (15w50) and have over 110,000 miles on our Dak--and she never leaks/uses a drop of oil from change to change!
