Message: They don't seem to handle all the torque of the R/T but if you have a 4.7 and under they work good. So I've heard.

Message: I've got the Lakewood Bars on my ride.(00 R/C 4.7 DAK 5-speed, 3:92's)
I picked up 3 tenths on my 60ft times. 2.3 to a 2.0...
I added 275-60-15 tires to the mix at the same time too. The Stock 225-75-15's wanted to spin all of the time.
As for the torque of the 360 being too much for the bars... They may still spin the tires a little, (heck the 4.7 will fry the tires with the bars, dumping the clutch at 3,000rpms)But the bars will reduce the wheel-hop in the rear end, thus planting the tires faster.
The bars will run you around $50 for the chrome ones. They are a good mod for the bucks.

Message: With CalTracs I get some good front end lift to assist transfering weight to the rear tires.
Also run the 275 tire but in a 50 series.
Anything that stops the wheel hop is a great help to keep from unloading the rear end.
Be sure the Lakewoods extend to the spring eye. I have seen shorter ones actually bend leaf springs in other applications at the strip. When I was looking at these I was looking to make the S10 bars work because they are longer and could be trimmed to fit. Just a thought.

Message: D...
Installation is a breeze.. 2 U-bolts over the springs... 20 minute or less install.
You can pick them up at PEP-BOYS...

Message: Man, I don't know about that. Mine is lowered 2" with blocks. Your axle shouldn't have moved down though with hangers, right?? Get me the length from the bottom of your axle to the ground, and I'll tell you. My bars sit about 3" off the ground. On FLAT ground... I would not recommend going any lower. You'd leave your bars on the WAL-MART speed-bumps.
