Which system offers the best performance gains? An AirRaid system or the K&N FIPK system? These are the two systems I hear the most about. I'm asking you guys because I only want the best for my Dakota. =)

2002 SXT 3.9L R/C, 5-spd, Gibson catback

Do you think SXT stands for Sexy Thing? hehe

I would go with the K&N and you will never have a regret or wonder if you made the right choice.

I have the K&N FIPK and after some minor problems that were solved, have been very happy with it.

I have never seen an Airaid system. However, I am a little leary of them because they advertise their TB spacers to provide improved performance. There are many posts that state there are virtually no increases in hp, torque or MPG with their spacer.

Don't get the Airaid...I have one on my truck and the aluminum tube looks cool but it heats up way too fast to be a "cold air" induction system. Its better over stock but only when the tube doesn't get hot. If the price goes down on an FIPK I'm gonna get one...there is also a deal on KRCPerformance.com that uses your stock box setup but turns it into a ram air type deal w/ a K&N drop in filter. Go check it out.
